I didn't loose my databases project after all, it was just hiding.
my touchpad, keyboard, and wireless all appear to be working at the same time. Something else is going to break, I bet.
My tiny (and now only)computer exists just to annoy me. earlier the wireless just wouldn't work, now it's back in windows but linux freezes.

also, I now have a new starter. But since my car was working all weekend anyway, the mechanic has no idea if that's really the issue.
